Office Internship

South Carolina Citizens for Life (SCCL), the oldest and largest single-issue pro-life organization in South Carolina, is seeking a motivated and dedicated pro-life intern to join our team. This project-based position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the organization including events, marketing, and lobbying, all while supporting our mission to protect the most vulnerable of our human family. You can also earn college credit!

As an SCCL intern, you will work closely with staff in helping to ensure the success of our pro-life initiatives through education and legislation. You will also share our commitment to restoring legal protection to the unborn and to protecting innocent human life by eliminating abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia from our society.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and support the mission of South Carolina Citizens for Life.

  • Accept research projects and propose ideas and solutions.

  • Assist with program logistics and development, which includes updating database records.

  • Assist with research and strategic marketing.

  • Create and maintain project-specific PowerPoint presentations.

  • Engage with donors through phone and email.

  • Attend organizational functions and events.

  • Create and post supervised social media content; respond to online messages and social media posts.

  • Learn and become proficient on internal software systems.

  • Assists in creating performance reports.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong social media skills.

  • Must be self-directed and able to work without supervision.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and GSuite.

  • Interest in fundraising and developing community outreach.

  • Interest in public policy.
